Trenton High School students received an honorable mention in the 2012 Michigan High School Mock Trial Tournament held Saturday at Oakland County Circuit Court in Pontiac, MI.

Over 40 teams showed up to compete in the tournament and only 14 teams received awards or honorable mentions.

33rd District Court judges Michael McNally and Jennifer Hesson contributed as advisors to Trenton’s team.

Teacher and advisor Dan Taylor said his team just missed the cut for the state finals.

The school received a plaque as part of the honorable mention.

Eight other schools at the tournament will go on to compete in the state finals on March 24.
