Mock Trial

 

State Finals Results!

On Saturday, March 23, 2013, 10 teams (listed below) advanced to the State Finals of the 2013 MCCE High School Mock Trial Tournament.  Four Teams advanced to the semifinals, and after two more hard-fought rounds the final results are as follows:

  • State Champions: Clarkston High School (Team A)
  • Runner-Up: Kalamazoo Central High School
  • Third Place: Forest Hills Northern High School
  • Fourth Place: University of Detroit Jesuit High School

Ann Arbor Regional Results:

On Saturday, March 2, 2013, 13 teams competed at the Washtenaw County Circuit Courthouse in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Each team competed in three rounds.  Three teams advanced to the State Finals on Saturday, March 23, 2013, in Lansing, Michigan, and two teams received honorable mention.

Teams advancing to the state finals:

  • 4 - Ypsilanti High School (Team A)
  • 5 - Ypsilanti High School (Team B)
  • 10 - Ann Arbor Community High School (Team A)

Teams receiving honorable mention:

  • 7 - Plymouth-Canton Educational Part (Team C)
  • 13 - Ann Arbor Community High School (Team B)

 


 

Grand Rapids Regional Results:

On Saturday, March 2, 2013, 6 teams competed at the Kent County Circuit Courthouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Four of the teams competed in three rounds.  After receiving a "wildcard" spot, two teams advanced to the State Finals on Saturday, March 23, 2013, in Lansing, Michigan, and one team received honorable mention.

Teams advancing to the state finals:

  • 2 - Forest Hills Northern High School
  • 4 - Kalamazoo Central High School

Team receiving honorable mention:

  • 6 - St. Joseph High School

 

 


 

 

Pontiac Regional Results:

On Saturday, March 9, 2013, 28 teams competed at the Oakland County Circuit Courthouse in Pontiac, Michigan.  27 of the teams competed in three rounds.  Five teams advanced to the State Finals on Saturday, March 23, 2013, in Lansing, Michigan, and four teams received honorable mention.

Teams advancing to the state finals:

  • 1 - University of Detroit Jesuit High School
  • 3 - St. Mary Catholic School (Team A)
  • 14 - Christian Leadership Academy
  • 23 - Yale High School
  • 25 - Clarkston High School (Team A)

Teams receiving honorable mention:

  • 12 - Mercy High School
  • 19 - Clarkston High School (Team B) (advancing to State Finals based on withdraw of Christian Leadership Academy)
  • 21 - International Academy (Team A)
  • 26 - St. Mary Catholic School (Team B)
